Kate Duchene, Resources Global Professionals' Chief Legal Officer, Named First Recipient of 'Outstanding General Counsel' Award

IRVINE, Calif., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Resources Global Professionals, a leading multinational provider of professional services, said today that Kate Duchene, the Chief Legal Officer & Executive Vice President of Human Resources, has been named the inaugural recipient of the "Outstanding General Counsel of an Orange County Public Company with Annual Sales in Excess of $200 Million" by the Orange County Business Journal (OCBJ).  Resources Global Professionals is the operating subsidiary of Resources Connection, Inc. In honoring Ms. Duchene, the OCBJ noted that during her ten years with Resources Global Professionals she has guided Resources through six international acquisitions, including assets of Deloitte & Touche in Australia and Ernst & Young in the Netherlands, as well as five acquisitions in the U.S.  Most recently, she led the legal aspects of the company's acquisitions of Los Angeles-based public relations company, Sitrick and Co. and Santa Monica-based corporate advisory and restructuring company, Brincko Associates Inc.

The OCBJ also noted that over the past eight years Ms. Duchene has shared her talents with the community, serving as legal advisor, member of the board of directors and current president Elect for Human Options, Inc., a shelter that provides a safe respite for battered women and their children to help break the cycle of domestic violence.
