This contemplative collection of poems, prayers, and musings explores faith, nature, grief, solitude, and the quiet moments that reveal deeper meaning

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C., Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Beauty and pain, silence and struggle, delight and confusion are all part of ordinary human life. In "Holy Scribbling: Looking at Life through a Sacred Window" (published by Abbott Press), Katherine Roberts Moore explores how these experiences can become opportunities to recognize spirituality in places and moments that might otherwise be overlooked.

Holy Scribbling: Looking at Life through a Sacred Window

The book is a collection of poems, prayers, and reflective musings that looks at life through what Moore describes as a "sacred window." At the heart of "Holy Scribbling" is the idea that God and Spirit are present throughout the simple and ordinary days of life — not only during moments of bliss and wonder, but also amid sorrow and pain. Through poetic observations, the author considers thoughts, fears, love, confusion, struggle and delight as experiences common to all human beings. Rather than prescribing a single way to interpret life's joys and difficulties, the book invites readers to look beyond what is immediately visible and become more attentive to the spiritual dimensions of ordinary experience.

"I see this book and these writings as an expansion of one's life — inward life (God, spirituality, emotions) and outward life (nature, visuals, settings)," Moore states. "By reading this book, I want to inspire readers to look and to see with eyes and heart. To give themselves time to 'ponder.' To chuckle at things that might be silly or rare or amazing. To become more aware of the richness of life and of little things. To better understand, accept, and value themselves and others — and God's Presence in all of these things."

"Holy Scribbling" is intended to be more than a collection to read quickly. Moore invites readers to engage with its poems, prayers and musings contemplatively. The book is available now through major book retailers and may be purchased directly through https://www.authorhouse.com/en/bookstore/bookdetails/401854-Holy-Scribbling.
