Kathleen Stone, Former CLO of Voya Financial, Joins SkillSource Learning as Chief Operating Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, March 2, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- SkillSource Learning Partners (SLP), a global provider of learning and performance consulting services today announced that Kathleen Stone, former CLO at Voya Financial, has joined the SLP team and its Board of Directors. A senior executive with more than 25 years of experience, Stone truly embraces the concept that a belief and commitment to learning drives continued growth and opportunities.
In 2002, Stone was selected for the role of VP and Head of Learning & Development for ING's U.S. operations—a workforce of more than 9,000 people. In less than two years, she delivered multimillion-dollar cost savings through a strategic restructuring of more than 1,500 positions in high-cost operations to lower-cost greenfield sites.
Stone served as Chief Learning Officer for Voya Financial since 2007. In her capacity as a member of the leadership and corporate transformation teams, she helped guide Voya (formerly ING US Financial Services) through large-scale operational, strategic, and financial transformation leading up to and following the company's IPO in 2013.
Stone led multiple change management and continuous improvement initiatives. As a member of the corporate transformation team, Stone conceptualized, designed, and led key strategic initiatives to drive culture change and drive opportunities for organizational Improvement.
A former Division I student-athlete, Stone quickly learned that there are no successes without teamwork. She has skillfully blended this resourcefulness, problem-solving expertise, and collaborative approach into a steady leadership style that will be instrumental to SLP's continued growth.
Stone holds a M.S. degree in human resources development from Xavier University and is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she received a B.A. in English. She holds numerous certifications, including Certified Facilitator (AchieveGlobal), Certified Diversity Facilitator (Global Novations), Certified Performance Consulting Coach (Partners in Change), and Certified Change Manager (Prosci). She has also received Six Sigma Black Belt Training (Sigma Business Solutions) and currently holds FINRA Series 6 and 26 licenses.
