Kathy's Legacy Foundation Launches New Website and Look

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Kathy's Legacy Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.kathyslegacy.org and brand-new logo. This newly designed website offers quick and easy access to information about the foundation, as well as information about the prevalent problem of domestic abuse in the United States and resources for getting help.

Kathy's Legacy Foundation's new site has a refreshing and easy-to-use design focused on the foundation's mission to provide tangible protection for victims of domestic violence and support for surviving children as well as education and resources for victims.

The new website features information about the foundation's events and programs such as the Silver Lining program. Silver Lining is an innovative program established by Kathy's Legacy Foundation that provides financial and emotional assistance for children orphaned by domestic violence. This is a unique private/public partnership between the San Diego District Attorney's office and Kathy's Legacy that enhances the existing Victim Advocacy Program to meet the needs of children surviving the devastating murder of a parent from domestic violence. You can join supporters like the former owners of the San Diego Padres, the Jennifer Moores' Family, and help these children cope with such a traumatic loss in 2018 by donating on the site or by volunteering.

Want to help make dreams come true? The foundation's dedication to inspiring dreams, changing lives and reviving hope in the lives of victims of intimate partner violence resulted in the Share the Dream program. Through this program you can support making dreams come true from visits to amusement parks to indoor skydiving.

The site also features Kathy Scharbarth's story. Kathy is the beloved mother and daughter whom the foundation formed in honor of her. Kathy's legacy is to empower others who have endured the trauma of domestic violence to thrive as they move forward with their lives. The foundation has formed pivotal partnerships to provide much need services for victims and their families from pediatric dental care to legal assistance.
