Katie Matulonis Joins Rubenstein Public Relations to Lead Agency's Social Media Activities

NEW YORK, April 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Rubenstein, president of Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR), announced today that Katie Matulonis has joined the firm as Social Media Manager to advise RPR's clients on new strategies for developing their digital presence, as well as to oversee the agency's social media properties and assist with developing new business opportunities.  Matulonis brings several years of experience in social media community management and consumer and lifestyle communications to RPR.

Prior to joining RPR, Matulonis gained valuable experience working with consumer, luxury and hospitality brands across numerous online platforms at Goldstein Communications.  Matulonis developed Facebook content management and advertising strategies for clients that helped drive fan acquisition and engagement, most notably building one brand from zero to over 120,000 fans in six months on a minimal budget.  She also helped to educate the agency on industry best practices and created a system of monthly "report cards" to track clients' digital and social media progress.  Matulonis' other previous experience includes public relations and marketing positions at Penny Benjamin Productions, where she worked with an emerging recording artist to build his profile through publicity and social media, and Edible Assets, which she helped to develop awareness and business opportunities through marketing campaigns and public relations outreach. 

Matulonis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maryland, as well as a Master's Degree in English from Fordham University.
