Kellogg School of Management Dean Sally Blount and former U.S. Attorney for Southern Ohio Carter Stewart Join Joyce Foundation Board of Directors

CHICAGO, Aug. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Sally Blount, dean of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and Carter Stewart, former U.S. Attorney for Southern Ohio and managing director at the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, have been elected to serve on the Joyce Foundation Board of Directors.

Blount is an internationally recognized thought leader in management and negotiation. Since becoming dean at Kellogg in 2010, she completed an ambitious seven-year plan for transformation, strengthening the school's innovative degree portfolio and distinctive brand, expanding its global connectivity and business impact, and building a new global education center on the shores of Lake Michigan. In addition to leading Kellogg, she serves on the board of directors at Abbott Laboratories, the global health care company.

Stewart is a noted expert and leader in alternatives to incarceration, crime prevention, and building trust between communities and law enforcement. As U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, based in Columbus, he created the district's first community outreach position, and established a community leadership committee. He also took a leadership role at the Department of Justice in addressing inequities in the criminal justice system, chairing a working group of U.S. Attorneys focused on reducing racial disparities. In 2016, he joined the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, a global venture philanthropy firm supporting early stage, high impact, social enterprises.

Blount returns to Joyce in a slightly different role than in her previous time with the foundation.
