SPARKS, Md., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelly & Associates Insurance Group, Inc., a KELLY company, celebrates its 40th anniversary today. Kelly & Associates Insurance Group was officially incorporated on May 26th, 1976 by The Honorable Francis X. (Frank) and Janet Kelly. What began in the basement of their home in Timonium, Md., originally as Francis X. Kelly Associates, Inc., operated as a family business providing group health and life insurance to small businesses through trade associations has grown into the KELLY brand which consists of multiple companies that work together to provide integrated total benefits, payroll and workforce management solutions for employers of every size.
Former Maryland State Senator, Frank Kelly, is now the Chairman of Kelly & Associates Insurance Group and Frank Kelly III, the eldest son of Janet and Frank, serves as CEO of the KELLY companies. Frank and Janet Kelly's other sons, John, David and Bryan, are key leaders in the business serving in chief roles as well as presidents of KELLY's entities and divisions. The organization is still family owned and run and now employs more than 450 people serving companies that range in size from sole proprietors to corporations with more than 20,000 employees. Based in Baltimore County since its inception, it recently moved its headquarters to Sparks, Md. in 2015. It also has offices in Rockville, Maryland and Wilmington, Delaware.
