Kelly Osbourne to Host 2015 NYX Cosmetics FACE Awards Show Alongside Top Beauty Industry Judges in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, July 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NYX Cosmetics has announced that Kelly Osbourne will host its fourth annual Fine Artistry of Cosmetic Elites (FACE) Awards show at Club Nokia at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, Calif., August 22. Featuring an esteemed group of judges from the beauty and makeup artist industry, the six FACE Awards finalists and reveal of the Beauty Vlogger of the Year, the event will be live-streamed at nyxfaceawards.com and on the official NYX YouTube channel.

Currently underway, the FACE Awards has announced the 12 semi-finalists who are vying for the title of Beauty Vlogger of the Year and the chance to win $25,000, consultations with pro makeup artists, a year's supply of NYX Cosmetics and the promise of a budding professional career in makeup artistry. In addition to the Grand Prize winner, the five runner-ups will each receive $10,000.

Joining Kelly at the August 22 live event will be a judging panel consisting of top beauty industry insiders and influencers to help NYX select the Beauty Vlogger of the Year, including:

• Ve Neill: One of the most renowned Makeup Artists in the motion picture business, she has earned 21 international nominations and wins, including three Academy Awards, two Emmy Awards, four Saturn Awards, a BAFTA Award, and Local 706 Best Character Makeup Award. She's also the first Artist to be awarded Hollywood Foreign Press "Makeup Artist of the Year." Having first started her YouTube channel in 2010, grav3yardgirl is best known for her "Does This Thing Really Work?!", "First Impression Friday" and "Follow Me Around" series. In 2014, she was nominated at the Teen Choice Awards for Choice Web Star: Fashion/Beauty.
• Vegas Nay: Naomi, known on social media as "Vegas Nay," has over 20 years' experience as a professional makeup artist. Her career began working for one of the world's most notable couture fashion houses where she learned to perfect her craft from the most talented makeup artists, designers and photographers in the industry. She then went on to be one of only 10 people accepted to the Polimoda Fashion School in Florence, Italy where she received training from Roberto Cavalli's design team. Determined by public voting at nyxfaceawards.com, the 12 semi-finalists will create videos with makeup tutorials inspired by the next FACE Awards challenge theme, "Mermaid/Merman." To follow the competition on social media, check out #nyxfaceawards and the 12 semi-finalists' Instagram handles:

To date, the competition has received nearly a million votes. A total of 3,000 video entries were submitted for the FACE Awards, and a panel of judges selected the 30 semi-finalists. The top 30 created videos inspired by the first challenge theme, "Timeless Beauty," and a tally of public votes then determined the 20 semi-finalists. From there, the top 20 created looks and videos around the second challenge theme, "Paranormal Activity."  Voting for the 12 semi-finalists' "Mermaid/Merman" challenge videos will kick off on July 24, and the top six with the highest votes will be flown to Los Angeles for the FACE Awards live show on August 22 at Club Nokia.
