KERIS Selects ProQuest to Provide Unprecedented Collection of Scholarly Humanities and Social Science Historical Periodicals

ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Korean Education and Research Information Service (KERIS), a consortium with 300 members, expands its holdings of scholarly periodicals from ProQuest. Periodicals Archive Online connects researchers to a rich digital archive of leading historical periodicals, spanning more than two centuries of scholarship in the humanities and social sciences. The ability to search across all of these journals simultaneously allows researchers to uncover valuable material and insights in subject areas and publications that they might not otherwise explore, thereby, helping to increase unique research output.

The purchase of Collection 2 provides access to 100 additional titles that comprise more than 500,000 articles, covering 30 key subject areas and 12 languages. Researchers can swiftly access relevant material from a variety of publication types, encompassing major scholarly titles, magazines/reviews, venerable trade publications and older general interest titles from the nineteenth century.
