In his role, he will be responsible for leading the payroll sales division and will report directly to Scott Kirksey, President of BenefitMall.

With nearly 20 years of sales experience, Thornton was most recently the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at VanillaSoft, Inc., where he was responsible for all global sales, marketing, alliances and business development activities.
Previously, he spent 10 years at Corel Corporation, most recently Senior Vice President of Sales in Marketing. He also served as the Senior Vice President of Sales at Sage Software's Small Business Division.
Thornton graduated from the University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada. In addition, he was named among the Top 50 Most Influential People in Sales Lead Management. He is also a member of American Association of Inside Sales Professionals and is an Advisory Board Member of both the Biometric Signature ID and the Sales Lead Management Association.
