For the second year in a row, the Symposium offers thirty fully funded fellowships for accomplished writers in the wine, food and wine, and travel and wine fields. The three-day event includes workshops, panel discussions, tastings, and one-one-coaching, all supporting excellence in wine writing and providing mentorship and networking opportunities. Interested writers who can demonstrate at least two paid, published byline articles in the 12 months prior to applying are encouraged to apply for the open fellowships. Kevin Zraly is celebrating his 41st Anniversary in 2016 as the founder and teacher of the immensely popular Windows on the World Wine School, which has graduated over 20,000 students since its inception. He has been teaching wine for over 40 years, beginning at the age of 20, and has studied wine-making techniques in California and all the great wine regions of Europe. He is the author of several books on wine, including the "Windows on the World Complete Wine Course."
