Kids Wish Network & Houston Texan Cheerleaders Gives Texan Boy a Surprise He Won't Forget

HUMBLE, Texas, Oct. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As a part of its commitment to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children having experienced life-altering situations, Florida-based Kids Wish Network sent 14-year-old Moses, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, on a shopping spree and surprised him with a meet & greet with the Houston Texan Cheerleaders. Kids Wish Network arranged for Moses to experience a fun-filled day of shopping as well as a lunch with the cheerleaders at the LongHorn Steakhouse where he received an official Texan's jersey and signed posters.

Moses was diagnosed at birth with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects the body's relation with salt and most aggressively affects the function of lungs, liver, pancreas, and intestines. Over the years Moses has undergone multiple painful surgeries and was recently diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the Liver. Hospitalized only a few weeks ago for coughing up blood, his latest battle has been with pneumonia.

"Moses was smiling the whole day, it was so nice to see him so happy." said Betty Garcia. "He absolutely loved buying new shoes and clothes but his favorite part was sitting with the cheerleaders, I've never seen him smile so much. I really appreciate everything Kids Wish Network, as well as everyone else involved, has done for my son."
