Kinex Pharmaceuticals Appoints Chief Operating Officer

HONG KONG and BUFFALO, N.Y., Dec. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kinex Pharmaceuticals announced today that Mr. Flint Besecker has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the company. Mr. Besecker will have additional responsibility over Kinex's emerging global operating platforms in addition to all corporate business matters reporting to Kinex's Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Johnson Lau. More recently, Flint served as Chief Business Officer and has been Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Kinex since July 2013 and a Board member since 2011.

Mr. Besecker's expanded role underscores Kinex's business strategy to continue expanding its global footprint with existing operations in the United States and in Asia. "Flint has contributed significantly to the business, strategic and operational development of Kinex since joining the Executive rank. His prior Fortune 500 execution experience along with capital market and global experience will be important for our long term global growth strategy." Dr. Lau said. Some of his previous roles included CEO of the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Founder and Board Chair of Care Investment Trust, founder and President of CIT Healthcare, Managing Director of GE Healthcare Financial Services and Chief Risk Officer of Heller Healthcare. He has also held numerous Board positions in both private and public healthcare companies and is a former CPA in New York State.
