EUGENE, Ore., June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- King Estate Winery, the iconic Willamette Valley based Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir producer, announces significant expansion plans for its Acrobat line of wines with a new winery and 50,000 square foot warehouse. This new facility will be based in Cottage Grove, Oregon – an ideal location, approximately 20 miles from the King Estate Winery, with easy access to Interstate 5.
"Our business is firing on all cylinders and we're preparing for an exciting future for Acrobat, independently of King Estate, with these investments in a new state-of-the art winery and a high efficiency warehouse," said Ed King.
Acrobat, a line of Oregon wines specializing in Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Rose of Pinot Noir was launched in 2009 and is the fastest Oregon brand ever to achieve 100,000 cases. In 2014 Acrobat exceeded 130,000 cases and was awarded the prestigious Hot Brand Award by Impact Magazine. In addition, Acrobat wines have been well regarded for quality with its 2012 vintage Pinot Noir being rated a Top 100 wine in 2014 by Wine Spectator magazine.
The new Acrobat Winery will break ground Spring 2016 and be ready for the 2017 harvest from grape to bottle. The warehouse, well-situated logistically, will be operational Fall 2015.
