ATLANTA, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- GlobalShop, the world's largest annual event for retail design and shopper marketing today announced the keynote address for its 2014 show, as well as highlights of its exhibition and conference activities. On Tuesday morning, March 18th, Kip Tindell, Chairman and CEO of The Container Store, will deliver a keynote entitled, "Organization with Heart" where he will discuss his organization's unique culture and its commitment to Conscious Capitalism®, referencing the retailer's Foundation Principles™ that guide every aspect of their business. Attendees will return to their own store environments thinking not only about merchandising and design but employee satisfaction and customer service as well. Also released was an updated schedule of events for the March 18-20th show, taking place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The show, which was recently named the fastest growing trade show by the Trade Show News Network, is once again on track to see the largest attendance in the last five years. A Track for Independent Retail
Continuing a parallel focus on independent and small business retail, new this year will be exhibitors marked "Independent Friendly," meaning that they serve the independent retailer of 10 doors or less. All independent retailer registration will also include a one-on-one store design analysis from a certified retail designer, and admission to an Independents Only reception where store owners, managers and merchandisers can talk shop.
