Kissing Seal is the Real Deal
A sweet new children's book with an important message
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., Feb. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Gander Publishing, the creator of instructional resources used by Lindamood-Bell and schools around the world, announces a new venture in children's picture books.
"Seal with a Kiss" by Dr. Ronda Beaman is a story about being true to yourself and is intended for the beginning reader. Set in rhyme, "Seal with a Kiss" reinforces and highlights the imagery and verbal components of reading. It's a fun but educational choice for those seeking a good read-aloud book.
Nanci Bell, the owner of Gander Publishing and co-founder of Lindamood-Bell, says, "'Seal with a Kiss' is an exciting children's book that is specifically designed to bring imagery to consciousness. It is a high energy story with an important message for each reader or listener." Following the Visualizing and Verbalizing process, young readers are prompted to picture elements of the story to improve recall and comprehension.
Author Dr. Beaman shares, "Reading, like enthusiasm, is contagious. If a child enjoys reading, it's because someone in his or her life made reading fun, made it meaningful, and made it matter. I wrote 'Seal with a Kiss' in hopes of infecting all involved with shared lessons, laughter, and love of reading."
"Seal with a Kiss" is available for purchase on Gander Publishing's website. Copies will also be at all Lindamood-Bell Learning Centers for instructors or parents to enjoy with students. Bell hopes, "Everyone will delight in the imagery journey with 'Seal with a Kiss'."
