RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Kitchen on Cary is pleased to be part of Richmond's popular culinary awards event honoring local restaurants, chefs and nominees for excellence in the Richmond dining community. This year's sold-out event is a Studio 54-themed awards ceremony which will be held Sunday, Jan. 25 at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m.
Kitchen on Cary Executive Chef Dave Hughes will provide champagne cocktails with sugar, bitters and lemon twists, along with tuna ceviche and a second passed hors d'oeuvre. "We are delighted to be part of this premier event and to share our talented Chef's creations with guests attending the Elby's ceremony," says Bill Greco, General Manager. "Chef Hughes will have an inventive presentation that patrons are sure to enjoy."
Kitchen on Cary will be aided by students from Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College in Richmond.
More than 40 industry professionals, food writers, critics and previous Elby winners nominated the individuals, programs and restaurants for the fourth annual Elby Awards, hosted by Richmond Magazine. The Elby's began in 2012 and are named after renowned French chef and Richmonder Paul Elbling.
