Knox Achieves 18th ATO with Tennessee Valley Authority at FedRAMP High

TVA becomes the latest federal agency to authorize the Knox Landing Zone, expanding the reusable path for commercial software and AI companies to serve the U.S. government

WASHINGTON, Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Knox Systems ("Knox"), operator of the largest and longest-running Federal and Department of War Managed Cloud, today announced its 18th Authorization to Operate (ATO), with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) authorizing the Knox Landing Zone at the FedRAMP High baseline.

The authorization further expands the Knox Landing Zone: a pre-authorized, hardened cloud environment where commercial SaaS and AI companies can deploy their applications once and inherit an existing government security boundary rather than build, authorize and operate standalone government clouds.

Knox has built its Landing Zone model around a simple premise: government should be able to inherit security rather than repeatedly recreate it. TVA provides technology companies an additional, repeatable path to serve government customers across agencies.
