Kohrman Jackson & Krantz Elects Jon J. Pinney as Managing Partner

CLEVELAND, Jan. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Kohrman Jackson & Krantz is pleased to announce that Jon J. Pinney has been named Managing Partner.  Mr. Pinney, an accomplished attorney and civic leader who was a driving force in Cleveland's successful bid to host the 2016 Republican National Convention, will lead the firm going forward in the wake of the tragic death of former Managing Partner Marc C. Krantz on December 28^th.

As a corporate lawyer and business litigator, Mr. Pinney serves as counsel for corporations, government entities, foundations and nonprofits. He also serves as a counselor to some of Cleveland's wealthiest families. Mr. Pinney was recently named to Inside Business Magazine's "Power 100" list, which ranks Northeast Ohio's 100 most influential CEOs, politicians and civic leaders.  He is also consistently ranked as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine.   

Mr. Pinney prepared the winning bid for the 2016 Republican National Convention and serves as General Counsel, Secretary and Treasurer for the Host Committee.  He also serves on several other leading boards, including Destination Cleveland (Member, Executive Committee), Tri-C Foundation (Member, Executive Committee), The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, and Arthritis Foundation (Northeastern Ohio Board).  He has also received several leading awards, including University Hospital's Distinguished Advisor Award.
