DETROIT, Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Kollins has been elected chairman by the Board of Trustees of the National Automotive History Collection (NAHC).
Kollins succeeds Dr. Charles K. Hyde, who retired from the board after serving five years as chairman and 12 years as a trustee.
Kollins joined the board in 2010 and has served as its secretary since 2012. A graduate of Walsh College with a bachelor's degree in finance and master's degree in management, he has more than 30 years of international automotive manufacturing, assembly and management experience.
The board provides funding to the NAHC which is a special collection of the Detroit Public Library and the world's most extensive public archive of automotive information.
More than 32,000 photos from the NAHC are now available on the Internet. Online access to the historical photos is available on the Library's website http://digitalcollections.detroitpubliclibrary.org.
