Konrad Group Announces The Acquisition Of BrainStation, A Leader In The Technology Space

NEW YORK, Dec. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Konrad Group announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire BrainStation, a leading technology education institute. Founded in 2012, BrainStation represents the future of digital education, offering courses and training programs spanning web and mobile development, user experience, user interface design, innovation and business.

BrainStation utilizes a blended learning model; students use online tools in preparation for each class so that once they get into the classroom the focus is on building websites, apps and digital projects from the ground up. Students are learning from industry professionals at an 8:1 student to educator ratio to ensure they have the intensive help needed to approach complex and sometimes foreign subject matter in a supportive and collaborative environment.

In addition to the acquisition, Konrad Group has committed US $10 million towards the expansion of the BrainStation brand, and will immediately commence hiring of managerial, educational, and technical staff across North America in order to facilitate that growth.  A portion of the committed capital has been earmarked for supporting underrepresented student groups through grants and scholarships to enroll in BrainStation courses.
