This will be the fifth year that KPODJ has attended the DJ Expo, which is one of the most widely attended in the entire industry. It offers attendees an opportunity to learn about the future plans of the company, and provides KPODJ with a chance to connect with members of the DJ community to discuss the newest developments and trends while also forging partnerships and relationships.
"This is one of the events I look forward to most every year," said Tom Capo, owner of KPODJ. "I've attended for the last 12 years and had a booth for the last four, and it's always one of the most worthwhile gatherings of professional DJs and hobbyists on the calendar. I can't wait."
KPODJ will have a presence on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday show floors. Attendees will get a chance to interact with representatives of the company and view product demonstrations.
Capo hopes the DJ Expo will help KPODJ accelerate the growth of its online community, which is made up of over 7,000 amateur and professional users who contribute ratings, reviews and advice while receiving prizes and rewards in exchange for participation.
"We're hoping people come to see us as more than just another online store," said Capo. "Our community is a great informational resource for everyone, from the upstart party DJ to established professionals."
Attendees can connect with KPODJ by visiting the Blizzard Lighting, American Audio and Stagg booths.
About KPODJ
In 2002, KPODJ was a small DJ company that performed at weddings and special events. After networking with other DJs in the area, they began buying equipment wholesale and reselling it to other companies that were looking for discounted DJ gear.
In 2006, the sales end grew so much that focus was shifted away from special event services and towards selling equipment from the new storefront and on the web.
In 2010, KPODJ added a dedicated customer service department and drastically increased warehouse capacity. KPODJ continues to entertain at weddings and private parties, but sales now account for almost all of the revenue.
