Krispy Kreme® Johnson City, TN Grand Opening To Feature Hot Light and Sweet Prizes

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- At 5:30 a.m. on November 15, the eagerly awaited "Hot Light" will shine bright at the grand opening of the Krispy Kreme Johnson City Doughnut Factory, located at 1100 West Market St., Johnson City, TN 37604. Grand opening activities to include fun prizes, commemorative t-shirts, tasty treat sampling and more.

"We are extremely excited about bringing our delicious array of one-of-a-kind doughnuts and complementary beverages to Johnson City," says Cindy Bay, SVP of US Franchises and Company Stores for Krispy Kreme. "We want everyone to join us at 5:30 a.m. as we flip the switch for the first time on our Hot Doughnuts Now® sign, and throughout the day as we celebrate the joy of Krispy Kreme with our Johnson City fans."

The approximately 3,200 square foot factory shop will offer more than a dozen varieties of Krispy Kreme's one-of-a-kind doughnuts, including the signature hot Original Glazed®, a complete menu of iced beverages and the new Krispy Kreme Signature Coffee Blends.

Shop hours are Sunday-Saturday, 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Krispy Kreme has hired 60 local residents for full and part-time team member positions at the shop.

Beginning at 5:30 a.m., residents of Johnson City and nearby communities are invited to participate in the grand opening activities. A variety of prizes will be given away including:

• One free dozen Original Glazed® doughnuts every week for a year to the first customer in line;
• One free dozen Original Glazed® doughnuts every month for a year to the next dozen customers in line (customers 2 to 13);
• One free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every month for six months to the second dozen customers in line (customers 14 to 26); and
• A commemorative Krispy Kreme Johnson City Grand Opening t-shirt to the first 100 customers in line.
• As an added treat- The first dozen customers in our drive-thru line will receive one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every month for a year and a commemorative t-shirt. (one prize per car).
