Kristina L. Anderson Joins Carl Marks Advisory Group as Managing Director

NEW YORK, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Kristina L. Anderson has joined Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC (CMAG) as a managing director in the firm's financial restructuring group.  Ms. Anderson will focus on financial restructuring transactions and provide additional senior advisory services to the firm's lender advisory practice.

Anderson comes to Carl Marks with 20 years of financial transaction experience in the commercial banking industry, including 10 years restructuring distressed debt.   Before joining Carl Marks Advisory Group, Anderson spent 19 years with SunTrust Bank.  She most recently held the position of senior vice president and manager of the Corporate and Investment Banking Special Assets Group, where she was responsible for the restructuring and resolution of the bank's largest and most complex distressed credits.  In this role, she was involved in the resolution of distressed debt investments for both public and private companies across a broad range of industries and outcomes, including total debt restructurings, 363 sales, debt sales, Chapter 11 plans of reorganization, and distressed refinancings.

Anderson brings to Carl Marks her extensive creditor-side experience in distressed syndicated transactions with complex capital structures and diverse stakeholder constituencies. Her experience spans various creditor roles, including sole lender, participant, steering committee member, and agent.

Anderson previously held positions in SunTrust's Debt Capital Markets, Corporate and Investment Banking, and Commercial Credit divisions.  She began her career with the Bank of Boston Connecticut.
