Kurgo Announces Revamping of Company Foundation and 2019 National Giving Programs

SALISBURY, Mass., March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Kurgo, the pet industry's leading authority in adventure and safety product development and innovation, is proud to announce the revamping of the company's charitable giving programs and Kurgo Foundation Fund, a program to support non-profit organizations that work to promote safety, exercise, and creating greater connections between people and their pets.

The Kurgo Foundation Fund is designed to provide both financial and product support to help dogs and animals in challenging environments or suffering from natural disasters. Run by an internal team of Kurgo employees, the Kurgo Foundation Fund seek out well-deserving non-profit organizations to receive monetary and product donations through the Foundation. Originally established by Kurgo's founders in 2010, the Kurgo Foundation Fund has evolved to better allocate funds to outside organizations that align with Kurgo's national and global missions. Aiming to help more dogs Go Together with their people, wherever their adventures might take them, the Kurgo Foundation Fund has renewed its mission to support the value of companionship between people and their dogs and looks forward to developing positive partnerships for its dog-loving community.

Kurgo is seeking small non-profits where the company's grant money can help affect change and make a difference. In its first year, grant awards will fall between $1,000 – $10,000 and will be presented to recipients in the second quarter of 2019. Grants will be awarded during two rounds, in Q2 and Q4. Selection criteria will be based on a set of parameters that align with Kurgo's corporate values: promoting canine welfare and safety by encouraging people to get outside and be active with their pets.
