La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre Unveils Trio of New Minimally Invasive Treatments

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre (LJCSC) is expanding their menu of non-surgical and minimally invasive cosmetic services with the addition of three new treatments: Cellfina™ cellulite reduction, CoolMini™ fat reduction, and Restylane® Silk lip enhancement.

Long-lasting reduction of cellulite with Cellfina
Cellulite affects men and women of all shapes, sizes, and ages, and it's notoriously difficult to treat with toning exercises or topical creams. "Treatment for cellulite has been very limited in the past, and patients are frustrated with the ineffectiveness of over-the-counter options," says LJCSC board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Roark. "Cellfina is one of the first treatments to target the underlying structural causes of cellulite."

Cellfina works by selectively disrupting the tissues that connect muscles to skin, leading to an undesirable dimpled appearance. The device is placed on unwanted cellulite dimples and precisely severs the band that is causing the puckered appearance. Treatment of 25 cellulite dimples takes only about an hour, and normal activities can be resumed soon after. The CoolMini is a new CoolSculpting® applicator specially designed to target hard-to-reach areas with small-volume fat. Like the original CoolSculpting device, CoolMini works by cooling targeted fat cells to the point of breakdown. Over the course of about 90 days, the body naturally eliminates the dead fat cells, and patients will see a noticeable decrease in fullness in the treated area.

LJCSC is also now offering Restylane Silk, a newly approved hyaluronic acid filler specially formulated to improve lip shape and reduce signs of aging around the mouth. What sets Restylane Silk apart from other lip injection products is that it both enhances the size and definition of the lips and can also be used to smooth away smile lines, helping to restore a pleasing, youthful look.

Restylane Silk is formulated with small particles, making it an ideal option for use in the delicate areas of the mouth.
