NuAire is pleased to announce product updates to the LabGard ES model NU-629 Animal Handling Class II, Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinet.  The LabGard ES NU-629 provides personnel, product, and environmental protection for sensitive animal handling and cage changing procedures.

New Product Features

Now engineered with an ultra high efficiency DC style ECM motor, LabGard ES offers an energy savings of more than 50% over conventional motor technology. The ECM motor creates an increase in total filter load capacity of 250% to extend the HEPA filter life expectancy from 7 to 10 years. With the added torque, the NU-629 runs quieter with less vibration enhancing your technicians work environment. An electronic adjustable work surface height from 23.75" (603 mm) to 38.75" (984 mm) or optional 42.75" (1086 mm) allows the unit to be mobile to fit through standard doors while providing the necessary comfortable work surface height for technicians. LabGard NU-629 line now introduces a nominal 5 ft. (1.5 m) model to complement the 4 ft (1.2 m) and 6ft (1.8 m) models providing three choices to accommodate your laboratory.

Improved Safety

A large 12" (305 mm) access opening offers greater visibility and reach within the Class II, Type A2 bio-hazard containment through a 105 FPM air barrier. The uni-directional laminar airflow minimizes air turbulence and cross contamination between animals. All contaminated ducts, plenums, and gaskets are under negative pressure or surrounded by negative pressure to eliminate the possibility of cabinet or gasket leaks and to guard against HEPA failure.

Enhanced Cleanability

The LabGard NU-629 provides a unique pre-filtration system located in the back of the unit to trap large particle such as animal hair before it enters the plenum. This system helps enhance the life of the HEPA filters resulting in lower operating costs. The pre-filter can be access through the work zone providing front service access. A two piece work surface reduces weight when removing for cleaning. A prop up work tray allows the ability to clean under the work surface for disinfection.
