WASHINGTON, Oct. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Mental health advocate and policy strategist Courtney Lang, JD, will emcee the Awards Luncheon during the Mental Health America (MHA) Conference. The event—scheduled for today, Friday, October 17, at 11:15 AM—will recognize individuals and organizations making a difference in the mental health field, particularly in prevention and early intervention.
Lang, who serves on the Board of Directors for Mental Health America, is also the Founder and Principal of Langco + Partners, a health justice public affairs firm that provides strategic communications and advances initiatives through policy engagement, coalition-building, and culturally grounded care navigation. Known for her ability to bridge public health, law, and advocacy, Lang has worked with nonprofits, public health agencies, and mission-driven companies to translate evidence into action and improve access to treatment and services across communities.
"As a lifelong advocate for equitable, community mental health, it is an honor to celebrate individuals, organizations, and media programs that continue to transform vision into impact," said Lang. "The honorees remind us that sustainable change happens when we center the voices of those with lived experience of mental health challenges to elevate the priority of mental health and make compassion, education, treatment, and supportive services remain critical to our collective infrastructure."
"This annual awards luncheon gives us a chance to pause and recognize the outstanding progress we are making in the mental health field. To acknowledge the dedication, creativity, and hard work of our awardees and celebrate these wins together," said Mary Giliberti, JD, interim president and CEO of Mental Health America. "We are thrilled to welcome Courtney to emcee today's awards luncheon, and are grateful for her experience as a national mental health advocate."
The 2025 Mental Health America Conference convenes leaders from public health, policy, philanthropy, and lived-experience networks for two days of dialogue and collaboration focused on prevention, early intervention, and systemic reform. The Awards Luncheon will spotlight changemakers whose work embodies Mental Health America's mission to promote mental health, well-being, and prevention for all.
