Las Olas Venture Capital Names Nate Vasel Associate

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Las Olas Venture Capital today announced that Nate Vasel has joined the firm as Associate. Mr. Vasel will be working from the firm's headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. His responsibilities will include sourcing new startup investment opportunities, executing venture capital transactions, and supporting portfolio company operations as necessary.

Prior to joining Las Olas VC, Nate was an Associate for Thompson Street Capital Partners, a St. Louis, MO-based private equity firm that specializes in leveraged buyouts of tech-enabled business services, healthcare, and engineered products companies. While at Thompson Street, Nate focused on deal origination and evaluating new private equity investment opportunities for the firm. He previously worked as a Senior Associate for Cultivation Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in seed-stage technology and life science startups. Nate earned his JD and MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was recognized for Accomplishment in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He also holds a Bachelor of Science with Magna Cum Laude distinction from Truman State University.
