MIAMI, Feb. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Latin Trade Group's BRAVO Business Awards, widely regarded as the "Oscars of Latin American Business," are celebrating two decades recognizing more than 150 of the region's most influential leaders for their achievements and contributions in the Americas.
The 20th anniversary will bring together a new group of distinguished BRAVO honorees, as well as a record number of past winners, who will gather in Miami to celebrate this landmark moment in the awards' history.
Every year, Latin Trade readers worldwide nominate a broad array of Latin American leaders in government, business, finance and technology, as well as mavericks in the environmental and humanitarian fields. The Latin Trade editorial team narrows the list of candidates, consulting with past honorees, international executives, government officials and leading academics.
Finally, the editors whittle down the list of finalists and select the recipients of the BRAVO Business Awards for their leadership and their contributions to progress in Latin America.
Past award categories have included Lifetime Achievement, Leader of the Year, Innovative Leader of the Year, CEO of the Year, Dynamic CEO of the Year, International CEO of the Year, Financier of the Year, Distinguished Service in the Hemisphere and Humanitarian of the Year, among others.
The 20th BRAVO Business Awards, along with the daytime Latin Trade Symposium preceding it, will be held November 7, 2014 at the JW Marriott Marquis in Miami.
"The 20th anniversary of the BRAVO Business Awards presents a unique opportunity to continue building upon the tradition of honoring excellence and leadership among the top leaders in the Americas," said Latin Trade Group Publisher Maria Lourdes Gallo.
