Lauderdale LUXE Takes Manhattan

GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- It's not too early to plan a beach getaway and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau is showing New Yorkers how to do it in style.   On March 18 and 19, The Shops at Columbus Circle at Time Warner Center will feature the Lauderdale LUXE Experience, a luxurious beach oasis for relaxing and imagining your time in the sun.  

The free public event, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on each day, will feature the destination's beach chic luxe offerings, highlighted by fashion runway shows hosted by style expert, tastemaker, TV host, and founder of The LV Guide, Lilliana Vazquez – with some lucky shoppers winning an instant makeover. Visitors can also transport themselves to the beach through an interactive augmented reality experience and enter to win a grand prize of a VIP Fort Lauderdale Beach Vacation and a seven-day Celebrity Cruise, provided by Celebrity Cruises.

Showcasing casual resort apparel, Lilliana will share tips on everything from fitness, skin and hair care to this season's hottest beach chic fashion looks, jewelry, accessories, fitness wear, luggage and more. Hand and neck massages in a cabana setting will also be provided by Celebrity Cruises. Popular CBS Radio personalities Trey Morgan and Ghia from the "Trey and Ghia Show" will also make an appearance at The Shops at Columbus Circle for photo opportunities with their fans.

Runway shows will take place Friday and Saturday at 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm.
