Prior to joining WTAS, Laughlin was a Partner at Deloitte Tax LLP for 10 years and before that he spent 24 years at Arthur Andersen, 10 years as a Partner.

Laughlin's primary career focus has been advising ultra high net worth families in all facets of their wealth planning, including: estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies; income tax planning; charitable giving; private foundations; investments; family office consultation; and closely-held company structuring and succession planning.
