Laura Britt Design Expands Leadership By Appointing New VP/Principal and New GM

AUSTIN, Texas, April 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Laura Britt Design (LBD) of Austin, TX is pleased to announce the addition of Tim Schelfe, FASID, as Vice President & Principal and Jeff Capra as General Manager of the firm. The addition of these two strategic hires positions the firm for continued growth and expansion.

Schelfe's role as Vice-President and Principal will be to collaborate with Managing Principal Laura Britt in setting strategic direction, driving business development, and guiding project execution.  He joins Laura Britt Design from JDavis, a multidisciplinary design firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he acted as a Partner, Principal and Director of the Interior Design studio.  Schelfe has a long and distinguished career as a design professional, primarily working throughout the Atlantic coast region.  Over the course of 30 years in the industry he has built an impressive portfolio of design work, receiving over 30 design awards for his diverse work in multifamily, hospitality, senior living, commercial and residential interior design. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he recently completed a year-long term as Chair of the National Board of Directors for the American Society of Interior Designers (https://www.asid.org/) and continues to serve as past chair.

Capra's role as General Manager will be focused on business process management execution, including strategy, human resources, information technology, marketing, and facility management functions. His background includes twenty years of corporate human resources leadership roles with Ingersoll-Rand, Motorola, and Freescale, along with a ten year stint in secondary education. Capra's focus will be on enabling success through the implementation of leading industry business practices.
