Laura Onopchenko Joins NerdWallet as First Chief Financial Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NerdWallet, the go-to personal finance resource, today announced that Laura Onopchenko is joining the company as its first-ever chief financial officer. Onopchenko will lead financial operations and will work closely with CEO and co-founder Tim Chen to set the strategic direction of the company. NerdWallet provides free tools and expert advice to help consumers navigate all of life's financial decisions.

She will be responsible for preparing the company for its next phase of expansion while bringing new perspective as NerdWallet continues to evolve.

Prior to joining NerdWallet, Onopchenko served as vice president of finance at DaVita Rx, the pharmacy division at DaVita, a Fortune 500 company. During her five-year tenure, the business quadrupled to more than $1 billion in annual revenue and fulfilled millions of prescriptions. Earlier in her career, Onopchenko was an early-stage tech venture capitalist, leveraging her previous investment banking and corporate experience to help several portfolio companies achieve successful exits.
