Over the course of their partnership, more than 52 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners from Lavender have worked with Ember's clinical team to support patients receiving care across the two organizations. The model enables Ember to deliver specialized IV ketamine treatment within a coordinated care framework, while Lavender provides ongoing psychiatric support around diagnosis, medications, and broader treatment plan.

Rather than handing a patient from one organization to another, Ember and Lavender operate through a comprehensive co-care model that serves to broaden access and increase speed to specialized care. Lavender providers can identify and refer appropriate candidates to Ember, or patients can access Ember directly and be connected to Lavender for ongoing psychiatric care. With the patient's consent, providers at both organizations may share relevant clinical history to support collaboration and improved clinical care. 

This approach is particularly relevant for people living with treatment resistant depression who may have already navigated multiple medications, providers, or treatment approaches before considering interventional psychiatry like IV ketamine therapy. The partnership is designed to remove barriers from accessing specialized treatment, and reduce the burden on the patient to coordinate care.
