Law and Business Conference on International Economic Sanctions, Anti-Corruption Laws Designed for Insurers, Reinsurers, HB Announces

WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- David T. Brummond, Senior Sanctions Advisor from OFAC, Department of Treasury is among the speakers participating in the seminar titled "Regulation of International Business: Important Considerations for Insurance and Reinsurance," produced by HB Litigation Conferences, according to HB CEO Tom Hagy.

"In planning this event," Hagy said, "we were hard pressed to think of more important subjects for insurers and reinsurers – or companies doing global business generally – than international economic sanctions and how to best navigate international anti-corruption laws." Reka Koerner, a Senior Vice President from Swiss Re America is one of three co-chairs of the conference, joining William O'Neill and Jeffrey Snyder, partners with the international law firm Crowell & Moring. The event is being hosted at Crowell's DC offices.
