Leadership Speaker Pegine Draws Standing Ovation at MPI-Meeting Planners South East International Conference
Founder of women-owned, Hispanic-owned leadership training business offers inspirational keynote
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Leadership speaker Pegine's message of "Communicate Your Value" received a standing ovation from senior executives in the hospitality, pharmaceutical and association industries who attended Meeting Planners International (MPI) South Eastern Conference in Orlando.

Pegine, who is known as the Steve Jobs of Leadership for her leading-edge thoughts and ideas, offered five key points from her speech on how to become a better leader:
- Make your activity visible. Quantify your activities, such as how many phone calls you made or how many reports you wrote.
- Attitude. How do you communicate your commitment to success? Do you communicate your attitude to be a team player, to doing more with less, to looking for solutions? How do you accomplish the task and communicate it to everyone?
- Leverage. Who do you know who can help you?
- User Resources. Companies are looking to cut back on resources provided to employees. Unless you communicate how you use your resources, people won't know that what you do is valuable to your resources. For example, if you want to attend a conference, you need to show how it will help the company and how it will help you grow as a leader.
- Evolve. You won't be the same person a year from now. How do you plan to evolve? How are you planning to get there?
"No one can read your mind. Everyone is too busy running around focused on achieving whatever they need to achieve. To be heard you need courage, commitment and a strategy," said Pegine.
