Leading Free Stock Photo Provider Launches New Site, New Branding with Thousands of New Images

One of the most prominent new features is the ability to separately search for images designated as Photos or Illustrations. Previously, all image types were grouped together, requiring users to look though many pages of results.

The process of previewing and choosing images has also been updated and improved. After performing a keyword search – whether for photos, illustrations, or both - users browse through large thumbnail images on pages of full-screen search results. Clicking through to new detail pages, users will find preview images more than double the previous size, plus new download options. Images can now be downloaded in one of three sizes, depending on intended use - from small images for bloggers to full size, high-resolution images for print designers. If desired, users can opt to send the selected image directly to the powerful free online editing application Pixlr for recoloring, addition of text or other manipulation before downloading.
Photos and illustrations uploaded to Freerange Stock are licensed under Equalicense (http://www.equalicense.com) - a simple license that does not require attribution and allows nearly any commercial use short of resale and redistribution. It's very important for business users to properly and legally license image content. To ensure the integrity of the image catalog, Freerange only accepts content from original creators and copyright holders. Image reviewers examine each submission both to ensure high technical quality and to weed out any submission that may be of questionable legality.
