Leading Spanish-Language Movie Channel Cinelatino Announces Red Hot Lineup of Exclusive Premieres Throughout Summer 2013

MIAMI, June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cinelatino, the nation's leading Spanish-language movie channel, has finalized deals with some of the world's leading movie distributors to acquire exclusive rights to dozens of the most-recent Spanish-language blockbuster films, which viewers will enjoy throughout the summer of 2013.

Viewers will have access to more than 50 new first-run premieres from Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain set to debut on Cinelatino from June through September—a selection designed to appeal to the diverse U.S. Hispanic population.

Diego Luna, John Leguizamo, Gael Garcia Bernal, Kate Del Castillo, Jaime Camil, Eugenio Derbez, Camila Sodi, Ana Seradilla, Damian Bichir, Fernando Colunga, and Miguel Varoni are just some of the biggest Latino superstars who will appear on Cinelatino this summer in some of the most celebrated box office hits of recent years.

Among the exclusive premieres coming up on Cinelatino include:

• El Infierno (The Narco): a black comedy about the world of organized crime in Mexico. The film won all major 2011 Ariel Awards, Mexico's version of the Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor. Starring Damian Alcazar, Joaquin Cosio, Daniel Gimenez Cacho, and many others.
• No Eres Tu, Soy Yo (It's Not You, It's Me): a romantic comedy starring Eugenio Derbez, Alejandra Barros and Martina Garcia. No Eres Tu, Soy Yo is ninth highest-grossing film in the history of Mexican cinema, surpassing the internationally-acclaimed, Amores Perros.
• Colosio (Colosio): the highest-grossing Mexican film of 2012 about the 1994 public assassination of Mexico's president-in-waiting, Luis Donaldo Colosio. Directed by the highly-acclaimed, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Carlos Bolado, this highly-controversial box office hit features a cast of top Mexican talent, including Kate Del Castillo, Daniel Gimemez Cacho, Dagoberto Gama, Enoc Leano, Tenoch Huerta, Emilio Echevarria, and Karina Gidi.
• Deficit (Deficit): Gael Garcia Bernal's directorial debut about two different social classes that get together at a family gathering in Mexico. The film debuted at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, and stars Tenoch Huerta and Camila Sodi.
• El Paseo 2 (The Trip 2): the sequel to El Paseo, the biggest Colombian hit of the past 20 years, about a family vacation at a seaside resort that goes hilariously wrong. Hollywood star John Lequizamo heads up this international cast, which includes Karen Martinez from Colombia, Maria Gabriela de Faria from Venezuela, Martin Karpan from Argentina, and the popular Colombian soccer star, Carlos "El Pibe" Valderrama.
• El Sueno de Ivan (Ivan's Dream): a heartfelt story about a soccer team made up of children from across the world that plays a match against a team of international of soccer stars to raise money for victims of an earthquake in Africa. Starring Academy-Award nominee Damian Bichir, alongside Ernesto Alterio, Carla Campra, and Oscar Casas.
• Ladron Que Roba a Ladron (To Rob a Thief): a box office hit about a pair of professional thieves who reunite to take down a corrupt TV mogul. The film features an all-star cast, including Fernando Colunga, Miguel Varoni, Gabriel Soto, Ivonne Montero, and Julie Gonzalo.
• Morelos (Morelos): A film about the final years of Jose Maria Morelos y Pavon, the Mexican revolutionary rebel leader who led the Mexican War of Independence and after whom Morelia, Mexico, is named. Featuring Dagoberta Gama, Raul Mendez, Gustavo Sanchez Parra, and Jose Maria Yazpik.
• La Cebra (The Zebra): an award-winning film about the adventures of two men who set out "North" on a zebra they mistake for an American horse in their quest to join the troops of former Mexican President, Alvaro Obregon. Starring Jesus Ochoa, Leticia Huijara, and Harold Torres.
