CHESTNUT RIDGE, N.Y., April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LeCroy Corporation (Nasdaq: LCRY), a leading supplier of oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers and signal integrity test solutions, today announced the addition of a 65 GHz oscilloscope module to the LabMaster 10 Zi modular oscilloscope platform and unveiled its roadmap to provide 100 GHz of real-time bandwidth in the LabMaster 10 Zi platform. The top-bandwidth increase to 65 GHz is made possible by outstanding results achieved with LeCroy's 8HP Silicon Germanium (SiGe) chipsets, which are performing in the laboratory beyond expectations. LeCroy's 100 GHz real-time oscilloscopes will utilize this advanced chipset and the Company's patented Digital Bandwidth Interleave™ (DBI) technology, and will be available in calendar year 2013. LeCroy is currently shipping the world's fastest real-time oscilloscopes with 45 GHz bandwidth, which are also based on the Company's patented DBI technology.
"We are very proud of our technical team for their groundbreaking achievements in high-bandwidth oscilloscope technology," said LeCroy President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Reslewic. "LeCroy has made significant research and development investments to continue to provide deep industry leadership at the very high end of the oscilloscope market. Our customers are using these products to develop next-generation optical communications systems that are vital to improving our ability to handle the ever-increasing data traffic created by the rapid deployment of advanced mobile devices and cloud computing applications. We look forward to helping our customers break the one Terabit/second barrier with our LabMaster 10 Zi."
LeCroy's LabMaster 10 Zi platform includes more than 10 unique modules. The highest performance modules feature the world's fastest 4-channel performance with 36 GHz real-time bandwidth on four simultaneous channels and two-channel real-time bandwidth of 65 GHz and will be priced at $450,000. LeCroy's proprietary ChannelSync™ architecture permits precise synchronization of up 20 separate LabMaster modules for unprecedented bandwidth density. LeCroy expects to begin customer shipments of LabMaster 10 Zi Modules in summer 2012.
