Ledcor Expands North American Construction Senior Executive Team, Appoints Chris Bourassa as President, US Construction

VANCOUVER, May 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - The Ledcor Group of Companies (Ledcor) announced today the expansion of its senior executive team with the appointment of Chris Bourassa as President, US Construction, based in Ledcor's US Headquarters in San Diego, California.

"Ledcor's building construction business continues to grow outside our traditional Canadian markets.  In recent years we have achieved steady success in Illinois, Nevada, Texas, California and Hawaii," said Ron Stevenson, President and CEO, Ledcor Industries Inc. "We are expanding our senior executive team to manage this growth, and increase our local senior executive presence in the US."

Ledcor first entered the US market in the 1980s, and it has established construction and property development operations in Seattle, San Diego, Irvine, Napa, Las Vegas, Chicago, Austin and Honolulu.  Ledcor also acquired EDGE Construction LLC of Temecula, California last year.

As Chief Operating Officer, Ledcor Properties Group, Vancouver, Chris most recently led the development of The River, a luxury residential development that has established real estate records in Calgary, Alberta.   Chris will be joining Peter Hrdlitschka, President, Western Canada Construction and Carl Stewart, President, Central Canada Construction to form a North America-wide team.
