Legends Room Uses Mayweather-McGregor Bout to Showcase Cryptocurrency
LAS VEGAS, Aug. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Legends Room (Bittrex: LGD) in Las Vegas is the only place in the world you can watch the historic boxing event between Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor on August 26 and pay for the entire experience using cryptocurrency. The Legends Room is a gentlemen's club that has incorporated blockchain technology into all aspects of its operations.
The main room of the club is open to the public and will be offering the broadcast. Patrons can pay in bitcoin, ethereum, or the club's own digital token LGD. The cover charge to watch the fight is $150. All club services including drinks and dances can be purchased using cryptocurrency.
The focus of the Legends Room is the members area. Members are welcome to watch the fight and entry is complimentary. Nonmembers who prefer a more upscale experience may rent a membership at the door on the night of the fight subject to availability. Ownership of 5,000 LGD tokens is required for membership.
