Background:

Albert Snyder, father of fallen Marine LCpl. Matthew Snyder, sued the Westboro Baptist Church after its members protested Matthew's funeral. Although Mr. Snyder recently lost his case in the U.S. Supreme Court, he is liable to pay the legal costs incurred by Westboro. The American Legion, mostly through its Burnpit blog, raised $26,458.58 for the Albert Snyder fund. Mr. Snyder and his attorney, Sean Summers, will address The American Legion.
