Leidos Names Doreen Harwood Operations Manager
Cybersecurity Expert to Lead the Assurance, Integration and Manufacturing Operation
RESTON, Va., April 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos, a national security, health and engineering solutions company, today announced the appointment of Doreen Harwood as Operations Manager, effective May 5, 2015.
Harwood will lead the Assurance, Integration and Manufacturing Operation (AIMO) supporting the cyber market under the Integrated Systems Group (ISG). She joins Leidos following more than 35 years of government service, and will provide additional deep mission understanding and insight in the customer's critical needs. AIMO delivers critical intelligence systems and capabilities, large scale system integration and deployment, adaptive manufacturing, agile development, and cyberspace operations to customers in the intelligence community.
Prior to joining Leidos, Harwood served as the Program Executive Officer for Collection, High Performance Computing and Research at the National Security Agency (NSA), where she focused on partnering with mission and technology customer organizations to plan and execute new investments and successfully managed existing programs.

Previous assignments at the NSA include leadership positions within the SID Directorate in direct support to the Global War on Terrorism and Counter Terrorism missions; an assignment to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) facilitating Defense-wide Acquisition Reform; and an overseas tour at NSA/CSS Pacific implementing initial expansion of the distributed NSA enterprise. Harwood also gained experience in a cross-section of NSA missions through organizational tours as part of the Director's Senior Leadership Development Program.

Harwood holds an M.S. in Resource Management from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces; a B.A. in Management from the College of Notre Dame, Baltimore, Md.; and an A.S. in Computer Science from the University of Hawaii. She is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Presidential Rank award and the Intelligence Community Acquisition Team Award, and holds multiple Joint Meritorious Unit Awards for NSA and OSD assignments. Harwood is certified Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level III in Program Management and is a member of the NSA Acquisition Corps.
