Lemnis Lighting Expands Operations to China

SAN FRANCISCO, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Lemnis Lighting™, maker of the world's best-selling LED retrofit bulb, the Pharox®, announced that it has entered a joint venture agreement with Tsinghua Tongfang Co Ltd, a Beijing-based enterprise engaged in the information and energy industries to drive manufacturing and development of LED products for both the indoor and outdoor markets.

Tsinghua, which operates in cooperation with  Tsinghua University, aims to expand its competitive strength in the light-emitting diode (LED) industry through the agreement with Lemnis. The new joint venture named Beijing Tongfang Lemnis Lighting Technology Co ltd will focus its sales and marketing efforts on China and the global market utilizing the respective distribution channels of both shareholders.
