MELVILLE, N.Y., Nov. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leviton Manufacturing Company, Inc. today announced Daryoush Larizadeh has been named president, effective immediately. He will continue to serve as chief operating officer (COO). As President and COO, Larizadeh will have responsibility for all of the company's operating units worldwide. He will continue to report directly to Chief Executive Officer Donald J. Hendler.
Larizadeh, a 14-year veteran of Leviton, has been responsible for Leviton's sales and operations globally since 2007. Today, Larizadeh oversees the company's six business units, 13 manufacturing facilities and four market channels. Under his operational leadership, Leviton expanded into markets outside the U.S., including United Kingdom, China, the Middle East, South America and Asia Pacific. Larizadeh also played an instrumental role in the strategic acquisitions of Fiber Connect, Integrated Metering Systems, Home Automation, Inc., JCC Lighting and Intense Lighting. These actions helped further position Leviton for future growth in its current businesses and new end markets.

During this period, he facilitated the restructuring of Leviton's business units and led the acquisition and integration of several businesses to expand Leviton's product portfolio into new end markets and geographies.
Prior to his time at Leviton, Larizadeh spent more than a decade as a business management consultant, most recently with PRTM Management Consulting, where he applied his expertise in strategic growth planning, acquisition integration and product development processes to various consulting roles. In advance of his time at PRTM, he served as project and process engineer and plant manager for American Cyanamid.
Larizadeh holds a Master of Science degree in Finance and Operations Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
