LG Electronics Delivers Amazing Cinematic Experiences at 3D Film Festival

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics USA's starring role at the 3D Film Festival (3DFF) is designed to deliver a breathtaking look at 3D entertainment, including films, video games, music and scores of other digital media September 20-22.

Attendees will be treated to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience multiple red-carpet screening events, attend world premieres and panel discussions, and enjoy 3D entertainment on LG CINEMA 3D TVs in screening and viewing lounges across downtown LA.

The 3DFF presented by LG Electronics USA and RealD – billed as "the world's largest all-digital 3D film, music and interactive festival" – celebrates its fifth anniversary at its new locations in the heart of Tinseltown. Venues include the Ritz Carlton/JW Marriott, Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE, Club Nokia, The Conga Room, The GRAMMY Museum and LG's own 3D game truck.

The 3DFF's exclusive LG CINEMA 3D Lounge at the Ritz Carlton/JW Marriott will provide an awe-inspiring viewing phenomenon exclusively on LG CINEMA 3D Smart TVs with special previews of Dredd and Spiders 3D. "Once consumers experience the wonder of 3D on LG CINEMA 3D TVs, we know they'll be hooked and will want more," said Alessi, who will be a featured speaker at the festival, highlighting the 3D TV explosion.

Gaming enthusiasts of all ages will be treated to the exclusive LG 3D game truck parked outside the Ritz Carlton throughout the festival. Featuring action-packed adventure titles like Assassin's Creed Revelations, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Gears of War 3, among others, the LG 3D gaming experience brings gamers right into the center of the action with an incredibly immersive and interactive environment that makes them feel like they have stepped right into the game.

LG's Alessi joins The Hollywood Reporter and 3net on Sept. 22 during a 3DFF forum at the Regal Cinemas to discuss "3D Everywhere." The panel discussion will focus on how 3D viewing technology and content consumption is swiftly moving into the home on big, flat TVs and to smaller and smaller screens, such as PC monitors and even smartphones.

The 3D lounge and game truck content will be shown exclusively on LG displays, including LM7600 LED CINEMA 3D TVs and LG BP520 Blu-ray disc players. These viewing platforms will thrill attendees with amazing Full HD picture quality and movie-theater-like 3D. The LM7600 also includes CINEMA Screen technology, which limits the bezel to a few millimeters and brings the picture right to the edge of the screen. Light-weight, battery-free 3D glasses complement the offering, creating a more immersive viewing experience for attendees.
