LGCY was started by Doug Robinson and Luke Toone and is the realization of their vision of offering a complete end-to-end residential solar solution that allows customers to power their homes with the sun and store power to alleviate peak-usage charges at little to no upfront cost. In 2014 the company started with three employees and held its first meeting at a Blue Lemon restaurant because it had free WiFi. Today, the company is headquartered in Lehi, Utah in the heart of Silicon Slopes and employs more than 700 people nationwide with offices in 19 states.
