Liaison Technologies Now Accepting Applications For Data-Inspired Future Scholarship

ATLANTA, Sept. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Liaison Technologies, a recognized leader in cloud-based integration and data management solutions, today announced that applications are being accepted for the company's Data-Inspired Future Scholarship program. High school seniors and current college students who are interested in a career in data are invited to submit a video and résumé for consideration until October 31, 2017.  The recipient will be announced by November 30.

Geared toward students who are fascinated by data and the role it plays in society, the Data-Inspired Future Scholarship program provides funds directly from Liaison to pay for tuition at a qualifying college, university or technical school. The first scholarship recipient, Antonio Ferris, was awarded $5,000 in July 2017 and plans to conduct data research at Stanford University to expand machine learning and artificial intelligence into new fields.

"We're looking for applicants who see data's potential to help people overcome challenges and drive innovation," said Pamela Osborne, director of Human Resources at Liaison. "As the volume of data increases and more leaders of business and other organizations realize that competence in handling data is a critical success factor, it's more important than ever to ensure the next generation of data professionals have the training and skills they need to move toward a data-inspired future. That's what the scholarship is all about."

To apply, applicants must submit a 30- to 60-second video that highlights an important aspect of data in today's or tomorrow's society and include at least one interesting fact about themselves. The video should be uploaded to a public platform like YouTube or Vimeo. Applicants must then email a résumé and the video URL to [email protected]. Scholarship recipients have no obligation to Liaison, and no credit card or Social Security Number information is required to apply.

The scholarship is available to citizens and legal permanent residents of the United States and Canada. College students can be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs. Qualifying schools must be located in the United States or Canada. Liaison may make an exception for international programs, but applicants should disclose their plans to participate in an international program when they submit their application.
