Liberty Central Launches First National Ad Campaign to Fight Obama Tax Increases

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Liberty Central kicks off its first-ever national ad campaign today to prevent the Obama tax increases from becoming law on January 1 of next year.  The ad campaign, spanning two weeks on RushLimbaugh.com, MarkLevinShow.com and the online version of the Limbaugh Letter, is gunning for 100,000 signatures to petition against the tax increases that will result if Congress fails to extend current rates to all taxpayers.  Once its goal of 100,000 signatories is reached, Liberty Central will broadcast its hand-delivery of the petition to Congress on LibertyCentral.org.

The threat posed by these impending tax hikes is heightened given that Congress—in typical cowardly fashion—punted the decision on whether to extend the tax rates until its lame-duck session after November elections.  "It's frightening to think how little restraint Congress will exercise after its members are no longer campaigning.  They've already demonstrated time and time again that they're willing to cast aside their constituents in pursuit of a narrowly-defined political agenda," says Sarah Field, Liberty Central Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel.  "This vote will be no different.  But with Liberty Central's petition, lawmakers will be reminded that they ultimately work for –and are paid by – the taxpayers."
